Adult learning in collaborative action research: reflections on the supervision process

Abstract

Collaborative action research is necessarily a personal and political process. We describe and advocate our process‐oriented approach to supervision of research students. A number of key tensions in the personal research process are identified and illustrated, with suggestions as to how supervisors might respond.
