Working with “Women for Afghan Women”

Abstract

This article describes the author’s involvement with an organization called Women for Afghan Woman. Her outreach to the mosque in her neighborhood in the wake of the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001, resulted in a remarkable series of developments for this group of women and for the author, which the article describes.
