Introduction to Part Six: Creating a Journal of Group and Community Practice

Abstract

In this article the author contextualizes and introduces Papell’s report to a committee on the progress that has been made in building the new social group work journal and the plans for the first two issues. The initiation of this journal has already created much interest and has begun to strengthen the professional identity of those who practice social work with groups.
