Abstract
An intensive sexual awareness—sexual enrichment program was conducted for gay men and women at the University of Pennsylvania. It was led by opposite sex co-leaders. To the author's knowledge, there are no documented cases of sexual enrichment programs exclusively for homosexuals. The standard implosion and small group techniques were utilized in contrast to the usual approach, the majority of the films depicted homosexual activity and relationships rather than heterosexual. Special attention was paid to the difficulties surrounding committed versus non-committed sexual relationships. Some of the observations made in this program were that there is a perceived need and desire among homosexuals for a sexual enrichment program for homosexuals, that an opposite sex exchange is vital to the growth experience for both sexes, but especially for men, and that the difficulties in male homosexual relationships may stem more from being socialized as a male in this society than from being part of a sexual minority.
