Abstract
The aim of this investigation was to determine if sex counselors and therapists could be beneficially trained to use the eight major dimensions of love established by previous research and shown by other research to significantly improve sex therapy outcome results. One year after receiving training in integrating the eight behavioral dimensions of love into sex therapy, sex counselors and therapists were measured as rating love behavior training as (1) much more useful than most forms of training they had received (2) having helped their overall effectiveness improve considerably and (3) having been used with a substantial majority of their clients and patients. The implications and limitations for sex therapy of this pilot effort are discussed.
