Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to provide a framework for analyzing ethical issues in the sexual domain, one that can be used in the instruction of sex educators and therapists. The structure of ethical theories will be briefly described in conjunction with the relationship and relevance of ethical and moral issues. In order to clarify the application of ethical theory to issues of concern, various topics in the area of human sexuality are used to illustrate the ethical dimension of family life choices. Sex educators and therapists can utilize this framework to facilitate an examination of complex ethical questions that confront individuals, personally, professionally, and societally.
