Abstract
Assessment and treatment of incest families is one of the most complex and controversial topics in mental health. This paper, which contains a detailed case study, presents a cognitive-behavioral model of treatment where the goal is to keep the family together, establish communication and behavioral guidelines to ensure that the incest can not reoccur, and revitalize the marital bond. The therapeutic theme is for each family member to see herself or himself as a survivor rather than as a victim of incest.
