Abstract
Two new species of a new genus of Tetranychidae (Acarina: Prostigmata) from south Tunisia are described and illustrated. These are Diplonychus jeridi n. gen., n. sp. collected on Arthrophytum schmittianum (Chenopodiaceae) and Diplonychus penisinuosus n. sp. collected on Cornulaca monacantha and Salsola sp. (Chenopodiaceae), near Tozeur along Jerid Chott.
