ABSTRACT
One new species of genus Transeius is described from arborescent ferns from Brazilian Mixed Ombrophylus Forest, Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil. These new species differ from other species by having smaller spermathecae and differences in the setae Z4 Z5 and s4 as well as in the macrosetae. The male of Transeius kroeffis Gonçalves & Ferla is described and the female redescribed to account for a new hypothesis on the j-series setae. A dichotomous key for the Brazilian Transeius species is provided.
