ABSTRACT

The work presents a description of female, male, deutonymph and protonymph stages of Sejus persicus sp. nov. collected from leaf-litter, Kheyroud forest in Northern Iran (Mazandaran Province). This species was classified in the “togatus” group, therefore a comparative analysis with other species of this group: S. togatus, S. polonicus, S. hinangensis and S. americanus was made. In addition, a key for determining the females of the genus Sejus recorded in the Palearctic region is included.
