(Boraginaceae), the first record of an eriophyoid mite on this host plant and the first record of an Aculops on plants of the family Boraginaceae; Aculops centitrapae Lotfollahi et Hemmatzadeh sp. nov. on Centaurea calcitrapa L. (Compositae), the first eriophyoid species described on this host plant and the second Aculops found on Asteraceae in Iran; and Aculops astragapactus Lotfollahi et Hemmatzadeh sp. nov. on Astragalus compactus Lam. (Leguminosae), the first record of an Aculops on plants of the genus Astragalus. All three new species are vagrants on their host plants.
