Contribution to knowledge of the oribatid mite genus Diplobodes (Acari, Oribatida, Carabodidae), with description of a new species from Vietnam

ABSTRACT

A new species of Diplobodes (Oribatida, Carabodidae)— D. (Diplobodes) golovatchi sp. nov.—is described based on adults collected from dry litter in Shorea dipterocarp forest in Southern Vietnam. The detailed generic diagnosis is provided. The identification key, distribution, and habitats to representatives of Diplobodes are presented. The species Kalloia mahunkai combined in Diplobodes. A new synonymy in Diplobodes is proposed: D. (D.) africanus Mahunka, 1987 (=D. aokii Mahunka, 1989 subjective syn. nov.).
