ABSTRACT

Four new species of the genus Psorergatoides Fain, 1959, itch mites of bats, are described and figured in detail. P. desmodus sp. n. was collected ex Desmodus rotundus, P. peropteryx sp. n. ex Peropteryx macrotis and Cormura brevirostis, P. surinamensis sp. n. ex Tonatia nicaraguae and P. guyanensis sp. n. ex Rhinophylla pumilio. Histological investigations show only low grade pathogenity. A key to the known species of the genus is added.
