Abstract
Anystis wallacei Otto n. sp. is described from pastures in France, Spain, Morocco and Australia and is compared with A. salicinus (Linnaeus). A. wallacei n. sp. is distinguished from A. salicinus by the shape of the prodorsal shield, the location and morphology of the aggenital setae, and by its distribution and preferred habitat. Anystis kochi Oudemans and Anystis rosae Oudemans are placed in synonymy with A. salicinus
