Description of larvae of Nilotonia longipora (walter) (Acari: Hydrachnida) with remarks on the relationships and classification of Nilotonia Thor, 1905

Abstract

Larvae of Nilotonia longipora (Walter), the first known larval specimens of the subfamily Nilotoniinae, are described. The relationships of Nilotonia with other genera of the subfamilies Nilotoniinae and Anisitsiellinae, and the possible implications for the classification of Anisitsiellidae, are discussed.
