Inconsistencies in leg chaetotaxy in two species of Tydeid mites (Prostigmata: Tydeidae)

Abstract

Inconsistencies in number and type of setae on the legs of two species of the genus Tydeus were found. Both additional and missing setae were observed on all leg segments except the tibia, and on all legs. Differences in setae configuration occurred between right and left side in the same individual.
