On the Genus Canthyporus Zimmermann (Coleoptera, Dytiscidae), with a New Species from the Highlands of Ethiopia

Abstract

Canthyporus hynesi sp. n. is described from Ethiopia, where it was collected in a stream at 2,850 m a.s.1. in the Shoa province. C. hynesi is most similar to C. loeffleri Wewalka, 1981, that also is endemic to Ethiopia. The classification of Canthyporus and related genera is discussed.
