ABSTRACT

A new species, Dactylodiplosis petibaurum Maia, sp. nov., that induces galls on axillary buds of Ocotea pulchella is described from Brazil (larva, pupa, male, female, and gall), based on material collected at restinga areas of the Atlantic Forest. A key to segregate the known species is presented.
