A Rare Ophthalmic Presentation of Neurocysticercosis

Abstract

Cysticercosis is the most common parasitic infestation affecting the central nervous system (CNS). It is well recognised worldwide as neurocysticercosis (NCC). Due to the diverse clinical spectrum, NCC poses a complex diagnostic and treatment dilemma. However, new diagnostic imaging and effective antiparasitic drugs have uncovered silent cases of NCC with unusual presentations, reducing the rate of morbidity and mortality.
