Pages 81-96 | Published online: 10 Jul 2014

Summary

In these vast peat bogs partly drained to be used as arable lands still remains a remarkable flora and vegetation in which Atlantic and Circumboreal elements are particularly well represented. After the failure of cultivation, the peat extraction must allow to recreate the original boggy environment to turn this bog into one of the most important botanical and ornithological sites of our region.
