Modes of Administrative Organization in Italy

Abstract

This article provides an introduction to the several modes of administrative organization in Italy. A brief discussion of the historical evolution of the Italian administrative system is also offered. Finally, a two-dimensional framework for categorizing administrative organizations is introduced.
