Public Property in Italy

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze how the notion of public property is considered and governed under the Italian system. To such purpose it will be necessary in the first place to describe the traditional legal categories adopted in order to distinguish the different sets of rules governing property. In the second place, we shall see how the amendments to the applicable provisions of law in the last two decades have affected in a significant manner the scenario described. In the third place, current situation will be evaluated.
