ABSTRACT

Besides its importance in Brazil, little information exists about the mineral nutrition of the Conilon coffee-tree. As a mean of characterizing its macronutrients accumulation an experiment was performed using the clone no. 2 of the clonal composite EMCAPA 8111. It was established in randomized blocks, with 24 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments corresponded to sampling dates. The samplings began three months after the transplanting and extended until 72 months of cultivation. At each sampling date, a plant per block was picked-out and divided in parts. Each part was washed, dried, weighed and submitted to chemical analysis. There were calculated the macronutrients accumulation and their accumulation rates. Nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and sulfur (S) total accumulation increased until the 72nd month, reaching 249.4; 14.2; 137.2; 214.1; 42.4, and 23.6 g/plant. With exceptions for Ca and Mg the nutrient accumulation rates were highest between the 36th and the 48th month.
