Abstract

In agriculture, there are countless opportunities to examine the potential with new and modern technologies. Agriculture supply food, fabrics, and all agricultural products for sustaining and improving human life. With the increasing population of the world, it is essential in agricultural sciences to investigate the efficient source of balanced crop nutrition through new technologies of present times. The various modern technologies and techniques in nanotechnology that are having potential to transform agriculture are: increasing nutrient absorption by plants, detection, and controlling plant disease, resistance against environmental pressure, adequate, and efficient input use. Nanotechnology is the science of arranging atoms and molecules at nano scale. It also comes up with increasing sustainability and productivity in agriculture by effectively and efficiently using inputs and decreasing the harm to environment or human health. This technology offers various potential applications and also deals with various challenges in agricultural and other sectors. Nanotechnology can be found to be very beneficial in sustainable agriculture. Even with so many benefits, it is not able to be successful in field conditions due to limited acceptance. The major reasons for its little acceptance are: fate, transport, bioavailability, and toxicity of nanoparticles. Therefore, in present review, we sum up the understanding of efficient source of balanced nutrition through nanotechnology, also its innovative uses in agriculture that can be helpful in increasing food productivity and sustainability.
