Genotype influence on the iron concentrations in the grain of corn hybrids

Abstract

Corn (Zea mays L.) hybrids were grown on brown calcareous soil on the same level of soil fertility. The iron concentrations were determined in the grain. The results showed considerable differences in the range 14.5 ‐ 55.2 μg Fe/g (on absolute dry matter basis).
