Mycorrhiza is essential for phosphate supply to Cistus incanus L. on native soils in Northern Israel

Abstract

The growth of C. incanus plants in the soils of northern Israel depends on ecto‐mycorrhiza formation, which is repressed in soils of basaltic origin. It was shown that this dependence is abolished when available phosphate is added to the soils.
