Abstract
In a long‐term field trial with increasing amounts of P and K to vegetables, maximum yield on an average of 24 vegetable crops was obtained with 100 kg P2O5 and 200 kg K2O/ha and year. However, relative crop species response to P and K was different. Lettuce showed particularly high yield depression when omitting P. Spinach was the crop most responsive to potassium. Cabbage did not respond very much to P and K. It is of interest that these results are in good agreement with results of British field trials.
