Abstract

The illuminance, temperature, and relative humidity influences on net photosynthetic intensity (Pn) by leaf surface unit were studied. As a consequence of our study, the extraordinary importance of relative humidity on Pn was evidenced independently on the known influences of temperature and illumination. At the same time, the relationship existing among Pn and nutrient absorption was stated using sap and foliar analysis. The determinations were performed in petioles and scissed leaf, presenting the Pn and plant nutrient absorption results. The correlation between Pn and nutrient concentration on a whole day was studied using the sap technique.

A climate simulation tunnel (CST) is described.
