ABSTRACT
The physico-chemical characterization of a surfactant, which was reported in a previous paper [Salager & Antón, J. Dispersion Sci. & Techn., 4 (3), 253 (1983)], is rendered more simple and more accurate by a modification of the graphic procedure.
Geometrical considerations allow the determination of the maximum error, and the calculation of the range of measurable HLB. A two-step procedure offers the best compromise between accuracy and experimental effort.
