ABSTRACT
Simple 2-4 parameter relationships for the non-Newtonian flow behavior of concentrated emulsions and pastes have been used in experimental viscometric data evaluation. Basic mathematical relations and a computer program for systematic investigation of different flow equations have been worked out and conclusions on the reliability and physical meaning of some Theological parameters have been deduced. Calculated values of the flow equations parameters indicate a certain mutual dependence and dependence on the flow equation used. The viscosity increment change constants are found to be more reliable parameters in characterization of different Theological systems, rather than extrapolated viscosities ηo and η∞ (obtained at zero and infinite shear rates respectively)
