Uses and effects of modeling by the therapist in group therapy

Abstract

Modeling is often used in groups. It has been used both to reduce fears and to teach a variety of behaviors. The efforts of modeling are examined as well as some influences on its potency. Modeling is suggested as one way that therapists can maximize their impact in group therapy.
