A dream focus for short-term growth groups

Abstract

This article describes a dream work focus for 6-week growth groups. Gestalt, Jungian, and other humanistic theories and techniques of working with dreams are applied to group work. Procedures for working with members' dreams are examined in relation to group process and group development. Ethical considerations, cautions, and potential use of dream work as an intervention in other kinds of groups are discussed.
