The Role of the Library in the Food Safety Mission of a Multinational Food Company

Abstract

The Corporate Information Center, the library for the H. J. Heinz Company, assists in the company's food safety mission by compiling publicly available international data on food recalls and withdrawals. The information is categorized and made available on the company intranet for the purpose of current awareness and trend tracking in food safety.
