ABSTRACT
Understanding how to reduce greenhouse emissions and mitigate their impacts is at the forefront of research agendas across the globe. Trees and other plants play an essential role in the absorption and storage of carbon dioxide, the most abundant of the greenhouse gases. As a result, many researchers and governing bodies look to forestry practices for possible climate change solutions. This article reviews the literature on climate change mitigation through afforestation and forest management, as well as shares resources librarians may find helpful for assisting researchers investigating this issue.
