Pages 1-20 | Published online: 14 Aug 2013

SYNOPTIC ABSTRACT

International cooperation between educators from institutions of higher education contributes to development of stronger ties between peoples and nations, as well as to fostering more and better education and research on a global scale. The Juarez-Lincoln-Marti International Education Project was created following this philosophy, and has operated for ten years. In this paper the objectives, goals and trajectory of the Project are presented, and the four main Project activities (scholarships for conference attendance, faculty development workshops, diffusion via the Internet of educational news, and donation of educational materials) are overviewed. The educational contents of the Project's faculty development workshops and derived educational research materials are also discussed. Finally, a recent example of a JLM Project's educational assignment is described in detail.
