BITA-Based Secure and Energy-Efficient Multi-Hop Routing in IoT-WSN

&

Abstract

This work addresses the energy issue and provides a secured-energy efficient multi-hop routing in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). The two major phases of the projected model are (a) clustering and (b) transmission. The energy-efficient cluster heads are first chosen based on several criteria, including “residual energy, intra-cluster distance, inter-cluster distance, communication cost, Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), security, and throughput”. Furthermore, to offer trustworthy routing, the trust score is calculated using a variety of trust variables, including direct and indirect trust. A novel hybrid optimization model—Beet swarm Induced Tunicate swarm Algorithm (BITA), which is a conceptual hybridization of Beetle Swarm Optimization Algorithm (BSO) and Tunicate Swarm Algorithm (TSA), is used to achieve this optimal selection of Cluster Head (CH) based on multi-objective. In addition, the multi-hop communication between the CHs is chosen from among the available options based on the shortest distance. As a result, WSN introduces secure-energy-aware multi-hop routing.
