Continuity and Change in Stone Tools at Mission Tumacacori, Arizona

Abstract

Flaked stone tools from mission period contexts at Tumacacori are described and compared with related assemblages. Small triangular projectile points are particularly revealing of trends toward the simplification and eventual loss of native technologies in the face of competition with imported tools and materials.
