Abstract
The author examines the proposition that the maximum platform angle for biade cores is 90°. He notes the presence of Mesolithic microblade cores in Denmark that exhibit obtuse platform angles, as high as 113°. The paper presents correspondence on this matter between the author and several colleagues, and extensive experimental replication is also reported
