Abstract
Planview area is a useful measurement in lithic artifact analysis. The use of a compensating polar planimeter to obtain this measurement from artifact photocopies is rapid and accurate. The use of planview area in analyzing biface reduction trajectories demonstrates the value of this simple measurement.
