Abstract
Some very small artefacts discovered in the area of Assa (Southern Morocco) are described in this note. The bladelets that constitute this series are typical of the type and shape of the Epipalaeolithic of the Maghrib. However, the raw material used (quartzite) did not allow the knapper to obtain sharp tips or cutting edges. The intended purpose of these objects is therefore enigmatic. This may be the first time that such an industry, knapped from quartzite, has ever been collected in Morocco.
