Abstract
I am aware that I am not the first of the English education community to address you on the subject of the National Curriculum and so, I can assume that you have some knowledge of its shape and purpose. This is some relief since the story of the National Curriculum is an extensive and still growing saga which I would have great difficulty in condensing within the time available.
