Prediction bounds using type 1 censoring for the weibull distribution

Abstract

Summary. Suppose that components are put on life test and that their life times have a common Weibull distribution. Prediction bounds are derived using type 1 consored samples for unobserved sample components in the same sample and in a future sample of life times of the components. The general BATSSian approach is described. Equations are obtained from which the prediction bounds can be calculated. Some numerical examples are presented
