Abstract
We consider a continuous time inventory model, first studied by J. A. BATHER in 1966 Using the embedding approach, we derive an explicit formula for the long-run average cost per unit time associated with any (s, S)-policy - For a special case we give a simple algorithm to obtain the optimal parameters.
