Controller reduction by state-optimization approach

Abstract

An approach based on L ₂-criterion with respect to the state vectors is proposed for the order reduction of model with the aim of getting rid of high complexity of mathematical involvement in optimization process. Optimal projection equations for reduced-order controller are obtained in a new and simple form by adopting the approach to open-loop thinking reduction. The approach is found to provide a means of preserving the original significance of the states in the reduced version also to provide an additional constrained-condition to the relevant optimization problem
