Bonsai style learning with computer 3 dimensional system

Abstract

Information technology becomes more and more important for the horticulture industry. Landscape design and plants database all need computers. There is no computer program in the market to help artists to do bonsai styling design. This research provides a bonsai style design system for the bonsai artists. It allows beginners to see the original form and the final result. Basically it is easy to teach beginner put tree into a bonsai pot. But it is very difficult to teach beginner on bonsai styling because everyone's aesthetic standards are different, a person like it another person might not. When beginner bought a tree from the nursery which branch suppose to cut, and after cut some branches what this tree will look like. Because once the branch is cut that is gone and cannot glue it back. This research creates a three dimensional (3D) virtual reality system help beginner to see what their own bonsai would look like before cut any of the branches off. This is a better and faster way to learn bonsai styling for the beginner. This research would concentrate on Formal Upright style
