Abstract

Based on the Leisure Satisfaction Feedback Approach developed by Mannel & Kleiber (1997), a model is constructed to evaluate the effect of leisure motivation in the formation of life satisfaction. Leisure benefit has also been used as a mediator variable in our model to examine relationships among constructs. This study has found that leisure motivation has a significant influence on leisure benefits, and leisure motivation has also directly affected life satisfaction. In addition, Bayesian estimation (Lee & Song, 2003) is applied to test the role of leisure benefit, the result shows that leisure benefit significantly mediates the relationship between leisure motivation and life satisfaction.
