A study of the spatial distribution of transportation‐an alternative approach and evaluation

Abstract

This study intends to investigate a calibration procedure for a proposed combined trip generation and distribution model which is based on the concept of accessibility. Apart from the proofs of the existence and uniqueness of the solution, the computation efficiency is evaluated by using Cesario's data (1). The calibration procedure is further tested with empirical data which is obtained from an actual transportation survey carried out in Kaohsiung City of Taiwan, the Republic of China.
