Abstract
This paper presents a detailed small-signal analysis of a new boost converter using a state space average model that is designed for low-power renewable energy systems. Thus, a small-signal average model is obtained. According to the analysis, transfer functions between duty cycle and output voltage and between input and output voltages are obtained, and some simplifications and design rules are proposed to facilitate the design of the feedback loop. Simulated and experimental results are given to show the overall system performance.
