Abstract

The advantages of low-loss transducers for SAW delayline oscillator are described. Various frequency tuning techniques are studied for narrow-band tuning (<1200 ppm). A new technique is proposed using mode-tunable comb delay line oscillator to generate several discrete frequencies. The mode-tuning is achieved using injection-locking method and frequency-selective circuit. The mode-tunable oscillator is attractive to generate stable discrete frequencies over a wide bandwidth.
