Surface Acoustic Wave Unidirectional Transducers—A Brief Review

Abstract

Different unidirectional transducers developed so far to overcome effect of high insertion loss of interdigital transducers resulting from bidirectionality are briefly reviewed. The structure and phasing circuit of each transducer is described. A few typical applications of unidirectional transducers in various systems are also described. A Table is presented which gives the gist of the development and performance of different UDTs.
